Improvement
The improvement is a combined process of heat treatment of steel, comprising of hardening and quenching. The aim of the process is to achieve high values of tensile strength and the highest possible yield and tensile strengths, as well as values of contraction and impact toughness.
The improvement is mainly used in thermal processing of structural and some tool steels, and we refer to upgrading in water, oil or air, depending on the coolant.
PPT-TMO S.A. releases steel from classic chamber furnaces (Cer Čačak) or shaft furnaces (Degussa). The furnaces can achieve temperatures up to 1080°C with an accuracy of ±15°C. Workspace dimensions of the furnaces are up to 900 x 2000mm and weight of the batches is up to 1000kg.
